As we are in full motion for 2026, let’s take a moment to reflect on everything that happened at Zoneomics in 2025.
The Zoneomics platform now covers 20,000 municipalities in the US and counting. This meant our users can access any zoning data they need nationwide.
The Zoning API was working hard. We delivered over 8 million zoning tiles, handled 1 million BULK API calls, and provided zoning data for 600,000 properties to some of the most tech-forward organizations in the US. These metrics represent actual workflows becoming faster and more efficient for the companies adopting zoning data. And decisions are happening with better information.
Our team hosted a panel in partnership with Prophetic, Bowery Valuation, and Arcol, “From Zoning to Closing: How AI and Data Are Redefining the CRE Lifecycle,” where we explored how advanced zoning tools and data infrastructure integrate across each stage of the CRE lifecycle, from site selection and underwriting to development and disposition. The discussion highlighted once again how platforms like Zoneomics are foundational infrastructure for PropTech builders and real estate teams, enabling informed decisions, with easy access to reliable data - from early diligence through closing.
Whether it was Blueprint: The Future of Real Estate, CREtech, Realcomm Events, ICSC, or Esri conferences, we connected with fellow industry leaders and shared the exciting journey of Zoneomics. Each industry in real estate brings up different problems they face when it comes to zoning data - how hard it is to access, make sense of, and utilize zoning data. We absolutely understand the problem, and the core of why we built Zoneomics. Conferences were opportunities to understand how each cycle of real estate needs zoning, and it was great to be the pioneers in the business.
In a recent ConnectCRE feature, leading industry leaders, including Zoneomics CEO Matthew Player, shared insights on how data and artificial intelligence are reshaping the commercial real estate ecosystem.
As Matthew Player stated, “Only what’s been available [to the real estate industry] has been parcel and county-assessed data. Until now, zoning data, permits data, [and] environmental data haven’t been on the radar because they haven’t been available. That’s giving all sorts of opportunities, efficiencies, and risk mitigation, and it’s definitely something they should be paying attention to.”
We also hosted an in-house webinar in collaboration with Algoma, where our CEO, Matthew Player, and Algoma co-founder, Josef Bromovsky, dive into how strong zoning data infrastructure transforms the way proptech companies can approach early-stage feasibility and site selection.
Compared to the U.K. and Australia, with the U.S.’s lack of standardization with zoning, unstructured zoning data significantly slows down the site feasibility process, affecting additional housing opportunities to be built and lived in.
Matthew and Josef emphasized the importance of having comprehensive zoning data as the clear blueprint, in order for teams to build faster and be more precise when assessing sites.
The conversation explored how standardized zoning data is changing the development planning process, helping teams evaluate sites faster, test scenarios earlier, and move forward with greater confidence. This discussion reinforced a broader shift we’re seeing across the industry: zoning intelligence serving as a core data infrastructure for developers and PropTech builders alike. It was a great opportunity to share how Zoneomics supports this shift by powering more connected, scalable, and data-driven planning workflows.

There were major improvements to our product in 2025. From site selection, FLUM, to the introduction of Bassett AI, we made it our priority for our technological advancements to improve the customer experience and provide detailed and thorough dives into our zoning data. Here are some product standouts we’ve had in 2025.
With the increasing demand for automation, we saw a gap for artificial intelligence in the zoning space, thus we created our own AI zoning model: Bassett AI. We built Basset AI with the intention of having planners, developers, and real estate professionals needing their zoning questions answered fast. Our intelligence platform allows users to have their dense zoning requirements deciphered into clear, actionable insights. It allows understanding municipality codes, parcel interpretations, and parking requirements.
How Zoneomics Supports Developers with Zoning Data and Site Selection Tools
We’ve released a new site selection tool, which contains the functionalities of the previous prospecting tool. The new Site Selection Tool saves users’ time and clicks by streamlining site selection and prospecting into a single, more efficient workflow. This allows our users to search multiple cities or zip codes in one go, and easily identify Zones and PLUs with the relevant city names next to them. This improvement allows complex searches across multiple regions to be conducted with accuracy and ease.
We also kept improving the tools that users use every day. We revamped the map and satellite views in the Site Selection tools. Sometimes users need the clarity of a map; other times, satellite imagery tells the story a little better. Now users can switch between both based on what works for their workflow.
As we hit the ground running in 2026, we want to continue the momentum of making zoning data more accessible, powerful, and integrated into teams' tech stack.
To everyone who's been part of this journey, our customers, partners, and the proptech community, we thank you. We’re very excited for what’s coming ahead.
